If a product is damaged or faulty we may offer an exchange or refund as appropriate in accordance with your legal rights.
If you see good are damaged on arrival please sign the delivery ticket 'damaged' and contact us as soon as possible. Please check your delivered goods as soon as you can and if possible take photographs of the items that are damaged.
We cannot collect damaged products. Customers are advised to dispose of any damaged products once replacements have been organised.
For local deliveries, Rivar Sand & Gravel have a range of vehicles to suit your delivery needs. We offer both a loose tip and bag delivery service
to suit your needs. We do our absolute best to tip where specified to make your life easier, but safety is our top priority.
Our large lorry carries up to 9 tonnes of material and can loose tip material but is also mounted with a crane to off load bulk bags or pallets of paving etc. If you need a delivery on this lorry please measure your site access. Ideally the lorry needs an 11 feet access and room to manoeuvre. The lorry is a very similar size to a skip lorry.

The crane arm will operate a maximum of 12 feet parallel to the side of the vehicle. Bulk bags and pallets are typically only lifted over a maximum of a 4 feet wall or fence. Much higher than this and we can get the items over the obstacle, but not down on the other side.
If you are still concerned that our vehicles will not get into your site or you only want a small amount of material then you are more than welcome to collect from our depots.
For deliveries which are not local to our depots or in order to keep prices competitive, we sometimes use outside delivery companies to deliver direct from the supplier to your property.
Typically these deliveries will be made to the kerbside or the bottom of the driveway using a tail-lift vehicle as shown in the video below.
The pallet is lowered to the floor and then pulled off using a manual pallet truck. It is imperative that the ground that the pallet is unloaded onto is flat and solid. Delivery will not be made up slopes or over gravel drives. Deliveries take between 5-7 working days and we can not deliver items to multiple addresses.

If you purchase a product which we deliver to you, you can cancel your order within 14 days after delivery by getting in contact with us. This is subject to the following conditions:
All our vehicles deliver on a daily basis Monday to Friday and Saturday deliveries can be arranged. We will be able to give you a set day for your delivery and try to let you know if it is likely to be morning or afternoon. However we are unable to do timed deliveries as traffic congestion can get too bad for us to guarantee arriving at a set time.
Typically we need 4 - 5 days notice for a delivery during the spring and summer months, although sometimes we can deliver at shorter notice.
