What is Composite Decking?….. and is it better than traditional wooden decking?
We have teamed up with BSW Timber to supply us with their new composite decking products, but what is composite decking and is it better than traditional wooden decking?
BSW Composite decking is a British made product made up of wood flour and recycled materials, wood flour is made by pulverizing sawdust into a really fine material with flour like qualities, being a renewable source that can withstand the elements makes this a great raw material, by mixing the wood flour with other recycled materials you can create strong, durable products that require a lot less maintenance than traditional methods.
Dual sided with a wood effect on one side and narrowly spaced grooves on the reverse mean that you can choose the design to suit your style, hidden fixings mean that you can create a clean finish and with three colours to choose from you can create a traditional decking in keeping with your existing garden design or switch it up with a modern, contemporary look.
Urban and Habitat+ Composite decking has been treated with a HDPE capped coat giving the decking UV stability so you don’t need to worry about the sun bleaching your decking, there is no splintering with composite material so you know you can walk bare foot safely and the warranty means that you can sit back and enjoy your garden for years and years.
