Treat your exterior space as another room to decorate and indulge in 365 days a year. You wouldn’t choose an item of furniture or flooring material which could only offer a few years of service so why hamper yourself outdoors?

Imagine using a landscaping material which is fired at up to 1400 degrees Celsius to ensure that it lasts for many years and performs consistently well. Allow us to introduce you to porcelain paving. This year, porcelain is a key attraction for professional designers, landscapers and DIYer’s. Why not join them?

Create a fire pit and seating area or a barbeque or party space, nestle under an attractive natural timber or evergreen roof, an awning or sunshade and walk confidently on a hardwearing and stylish porcelain patio. Enjoy every season. Relax in a space that reflects your personality and your needs.

What is porcelain paving?

Comprised of clay, sand and minerals including feldspar and quartz this practical and attractive landscaping material outperforms many paving alternatives. It’s non-porous; its water resistance makes porcelain paving extremely low maintenance. It’s easy to install, rarely requiring sealant.

Porcelain paving is durable and versatile; it’s a long way from Granny’s old easy to shatter crockery so whether you lay a porcelain patio or path, install paving on a balcony or terrace or use the porcelain paving indoors and outside to maximise flow, you are guaranteed value for money enjoyment.

Unlike several alternative paving solutions, the porcelain paving is fade, watermark, stain, frost and slip resistant and a porcelain patio won’t be compromised by any of the myriad weather conditions that the UK is exposed to.

It sounds great, but is it as good as the hype?

Yes. We’ve tried and tested every porcelain product stocked at our Tadley and Hare Hatch garden centres and our depots in Windlesham and Newbury so when we say that we like it and that you can place your trust in it year after year, and the neighbours will admire it, we aren’t selling it we’re just being honest. We don’t stock any products at Rivar Sand and Gravel that don’t meet our exacting standards.

We want you to experience the best products and superior customer service; we like to think we go the extra mile to help you achieve your desired results.

There is a porcelain patio, path, garden room, conservatory, outdoor dining and entertaining solution to meet every taste and budget. If you’ve got a traditional or contemporary design scheme, a multicolour space or a monochrome feel, you won’t be disappointed with the appearance or functionality of your choice.
