Picture of a Modern Porcelain Paving

Summer’s a distant memory and you might be reading this huddled by the fireside but don’t forget about your property’s exterior space. It should look inviting, charming and reflect your personality, whatever weather the seasons throw at us.

Modernising your outdoor space with a few hours of work can transform the way you feel about its aesthetic and functional capabilities.

You’ll find an array of landscaping possibilities at our four local depots – Hare Hatch, Newbury, Tadley and Windlesham – and 2018 has seen porcelain paving grow in popularity as professional landscapers, designers and DIY project handlers have realised that as an attractive and competitively priced all year round non-slip durable option it is unsurpassable in the world of paving.

Enjoy flexibility

Discover polished, textured and wood effect porcelain slabs in varying sizes; sold singly or in project packs. Porcelain paving slabs are ideal for patios and pathways, driveways and around garden houses and fire pits. The crisp cut of the slabs adds sleek lines and compliments contemporary, minimalistic and elegant design schemes. Porcelain also lends itself to use inside the property which means you can create continuity.

You may be wondering how porcelain paving can withstand the pressure of people, furniture and the winter weather; the porcelain slabs are superbly robust having been fired in kilns at up to 1400°C.

Porcelain paving contains a mixture of clay, sand, feldspar and other minerals. Slabs are non-porous and are lighter than natural stone or timber alternatives. Ideal for roof gardens.

Porcelain patios and pathways are non-slip; frost, fade, watermark and stain resistant. Rain or shine, its allure and practicality won’t diminish.

Not a chore-lover?

Just in case you weren’t already falling in love with the idea of porcelain paving, we can advise that slabs are easy to install, most won’t require sealing and the maintenance is non-existent or minimal.

You don’t need a special chemical patio cleaner for porcelain. Water is perfect. In fact, using chemicals which often have acidic qualities can damage your porcelain slabs.

Many of the porcelain paving choices which we recommend are held in stock and can be taken away on the day of purchase, or you can take advantage of delivery if you prefer. The lead time with the non-stock items varies but averages at 7-10 days.

Two patio and pathways paving options to consider:

Stone blend golden porcelain paving

  • Black base; golden tones and natural flecks create texture.
  • Perfect for contemporary and sophisticated schemes.
  • Porcelain slabs measure 600mm x 600mm.
  • 20mm thickness.
  • Use indoors and outside.
  • No sealant required.
  • Zero maintenance.

Scout white porcelain slabs

  • Imported from Italy.
  • 600mm x 600mm size, 20mm thickness.
  • Scout white porcelain paving resists dirt.
  • Adds finesse to a space – interior or exterior.
  • Low maintenance option.

Just because the days are shorter just now it doesn’t mean you should forsake a part of your home. Make the most of your exterior.
