Local Sand and Gravel Suppliers

You may know us well for our decorative gravels, paving, turf, landscaping bark and fencing solutions but at Rivar Sand and Gravel we aid your project from start to finish, including the groundwork. Cutting corners on commercial and domestic projects is a false saving of time and money. Aggregates are vital to the process.

Isn’t it a shame when you see weeds poking out between exquisite paving slabs? Or when sand and gravel based aggregates haven’t been used so the paving sits in puddles of mud or wobbles and makes visitors feel like their security underfoot is compromised? No one enjoys a party, barbeque or cooking on a dangerous slant. Fences and posts should also be able to withstand a breezy day; only preparation, not cheating or cups of tea, work.

Cost effective and enduring landscaping materials won’t deliver maximum benefits without a little attention to detail. You need a level and solid foundation if you want your landscaping material to perform admirably for many years and to neglect the basics is to defeat your own purpose.

Sand and gravel prices are customer friendly. As renowned sand and gravel suppliers we’re happy to help you achieve your landscaping potential and if you ask us questions we’ll offer informed confident answers not excuses. Oh yes, and we don’t bite.

We offer the convenience of delivering your order or you can take it away with you.

Decorative gravels are widely available, we have local and further afield choices, and these add to the design concept. Gravel for aggregate purposes isn’t always as aesthetically pleasing but it boasts superior functionality.

  • 10mm gravel can be used for pipe bedding and as a decorative gravel. Derived from Thames Valley Flint, it is hardwearing so that translates as an excellent investment.
  • A half bulk bag of 450kg is just £44.00, a bulk bag (900kg) is £67.00.
  • The 20mm gravel equivalents cost the same prices and 20mm provides excellent drainage.
  • Building sand is also known as soft sand and we have various quantities available so whether your project is large or small, you’ll find a match for your needs. This yellowish sand is added to cement and water to create a mortar.

Sand and gravel prices are competitive so you may be pleasantly surprised to learn that:

  • 20kg bag - £3.20.
  • 450kg half bulk bag - £39.95.
  • 900kg bulk bag - £57.25.
  • 25kg bags of cement come in either paper or plastic bags and cost £5.60 and £6.55 respectively.
  • Kiln dried sand is a perfect solution for paving. When brushed between the slabs there shouldn’t be any spaces and therefore no movement. This is safe, aesthetically pleasing and delivers excellent drainage. One 20kg bag is only £6.00

Our team will help you calculate how much you need.

As sand and gravel suppliers, we’d be remiss if we didn’t also mention ballast, sharp sand, scalpings, type 1 and 40mm rejects.
