Greenfest 2022
On Saturday 10th September we joined forces with the West Berkshire Sustainable Community (WBSC) and hosted a stall at Greenfest 2022!
Greenfest is an event held in Hamstead Norreys village and celebrates everything Eco, this is the perfect event to attend if you are just starting out on your journey to a more sustainable lifestyle or you have already embraced an eco lifestyle and want to meet with like-minded people.
The West Berkshire Sustainable Community were there to help people who have a workplace or community group that would like to be more sustainable but don’t know where to start.
As Greenfest showed this is a massive subject and it can be a bit daunting to know where to start and whether the changes you are planning are actually more environmentally friendly or not!
WBSC In conjunction with Surfers Against Sewerage (SAS) the Plastic Free Community Champion/Allie scheme helps you reduce plastics, offers alternatives and rewards you for your efforts. Starting out with the Bronze award gets you started allowing you to progress at your own speed to the next level which all help you reduce your carbon footprint.
The WBSC stall was very popular with lots of people showing interest in getting their local community groups and businesses on board, it only takes one person to get the conversation started and they find that most people want to do something and just need the encouragement.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the stall speaking to like-minded people and we can’t wait to continue our own journey to becoming a more sustainable business.
