If you’re researching landscaping materials with the aim of improving the practicality and aesthetic qualities around the exterior of your property then we’re here to help you to achieve your project goals.

Not everyone is an accomplished or dedicated landscaper with time to work on all encompassing makeovers or lucky enough to operate with an inexhaustible budget, but this doesn’t mean you’re forced to deny yourself the very best.

We suggest gravels and chippings to novices through to professionally qualified landscapers. Products are easy to install and require minimal maintenance. There are almost no limits to gravel’s applications or its visual appeal.

Rivar Sand and Gravel’s team at our garden centre Tadley is proud to offer a range of delightful locally sourced gravels from Cotswold Chippings to South Cerney Gravel to Moonstone Gravel. They invite admiration.

Gravel is a no. 1 choice

We recommend gravel for any size space. Gravel is used in pots and on beds as a mulch, in petite urban gardens or courtyards and across wide swathes in parks and estates. Be creative and use more than one gravel, people have been using several gravels in patterns since the 16th century so this fits traditional and contemporary schemes.

Gravels and chippings can blend or contrast with existing planting and landscaping materials and beautifully highlight features including ponds, fire pits, party areas and statues. Every locally quarried gravel is easy to install and requires minimal maintenance.

We’ll ensure that you’re confident your purchase is the right local gravel for you. Thames Valley Flint products are ideal for heavy pedestrian and vehicle traffic areas, charming Cotswold Chippings are a little prone to crumbling under pressure, but South Cerney Gravel offers a greater versatility. All offer years of service and represent true value for money.

Our garden centre Tadley stocks gravels loose and in 20mm gravel bulk bags, delivery is at your convenience or you can take your purchase away with you.

And…

A further benefit that gravels and chippings deliver, especially in 20mm products, is safe transit in icy weather. Single level landscaping materials can be coated in ice or snow which makes movement difficult and the chances of slipping to the car or gate highly probable. Stone chips create a textured base, so ice cannot form a hazardous sheet.
