It is a Thames Valley Flint which means it is a small rough stone, it is hard-wearing and therefore is fantastic for paths and driveways. It compacts together really well allowing for a good material that allows water to quickly move downhill along with this it provides good grip when wet and dry.
Brown Gravel is a decorative chipping about 10mm in size, using this in gardens which need simple colours is a perfect use for this gravel. The mix of colours in this is: Brown, White and Toffees this allows for a pleasant variation of colour that isn't overbearing or striking like using something like white dolomite however it is good at complementing features of your garden with a simple border. A good example is using this to border a flowerbed, this will allow your flowers to be the stars of the show but creates a nice break between the flowerbed and the rest of your garden.
Security is always a priority to owners of a property and this gravel is a fantastic addition, it may not seem obvious at first but the noise created by walking and driving on this chipping is easily noticeable in the evening which means you can tell if someone is approaching or on your property even if it is not easy to see. Another key thing to remember is this gravel is tough and will not break down easily therefore is a perfect choice for paths and driveways and we would recommend it for this use.
