Picture of Warm Garden Landscaping

We can’t guarantee that the great British summer will be wall-to-wall sunshine, but if you install the perfect landscaping materials you’ll deliver the sense of warm, sun drenched relaxing days. Spend lazy hours on loungers with a drink in one hand, book in the other; play football on the lawn, enjoy barbeques and entertain in style. You don’t need a fire pit, just the suggestion of heat in your landscaping choices.

A few days toil in spring can deliver endless pleasure. You may look at your outdoor space and see a bald, litter strewn lawn, a rocky patio and a bedding area which has more weeds than plants but minimal spend, maximum effect landscaping materials are our team’s speciality.

Landscaping materials colours matter

We only need to cast our minds back a few weeks to the bleak snow drifts and shivering limbs on trees followed by the welcome sight of vibrant daffodils which told us spring was near. Sensations of warmth and coldness can be inspired by our surroundings, sometimes without us realising.

Psychologically, brown and earthy tones in an environment instantly lead our minds to nature. Green is ideal for calm, reflection and concentration; what says summer more than a verdant lawn with that freshly mown aroma? Yellow makes us happy. Red signals heat or urgency, orange invites creativity and new beginnings. Meanwhile, blue and white cool, inspire cleanliness and simplicity.

Consider how a mid-summer flowerbed heartens as it demands to be admired. Replicate this in your hard landscaping for complete functionality and aesthetic appeal.

Warming Indian sandstone paving solutions

The rich cream, gold, red and pink tones of Indian sandstone paving products deliver an uplifting radiance even on the drizzliest of days. When the sun does shine, this landscaping material captures the sun’s rays and draws you outside. Rediscover that outdoor living is truly desirable.

A firm favourite with Rivar Sand and Gravel’s team, and our customers, is the Modak Rose Indian sandstone paving. It can be acquired as a circle set with a centre stone and three outer rings at a diameter of 2.8m or in mixed size paving slab project packs to cover 13.65 metres squared. Both are magnificently stylish and cost between £400-£460 per project pack.

Charming grey tones are available with sandstone, and these provide a cool backdrop, perhaps a replica of the sky. For heat, always choose pink-red-plum hues.

Turf and topsoil

It’s been proven that being in the garden, surrounded by greenery and nature is restorative for humans so what are you waiting for? Transform your tired lawn into a superior one, using top quality turf and topsoil which ensures that with a little care your lawn will be healthy and beautiful.

Laying turf without fresh topsoil and its wealth of nutrients is unwise; a bad diet can’t produce excellence.

Inturf Classic turf costs just £4.20 per metre squared (1.65m X 0.60m cut.)
